No BEEP!! AHH.. Help me lol. - 10.14.2006, 09:36 PM

Alright, I'm not sure what the deal is. I've used this controller in the past in the stampede (warrior 9920)

I have have it soldered to a 8xl with a UBEC. Below are some pictures of my setup.

I've tried over and over to get the beep after plugging in the batteries and nothing. Batteries are charged, and I've tried to steps.

I'm using a JR300 receiver. So I have my BEC in the batt slot and my esc in the number 2 slot.

Below is a pic of what with 2 arrows showing what I have removed for the programming. Am I suppose to remove the little black one underneath the red jumper as well?

any ideas? Thanks!

normally, i beleive if your using over 10 cells you need to pull the red wire out of the esc servo plug or remove the black bec plug.....also try a receiver pack in place of the Ubec...they have been known in the past to be a problem spot....

yes that is correct...the black one underneath is for the internal bec, and the orange one programs it....

I think you miss understood.....you can either remove the red wire from the servo plug on the esc ( O R ) pull the black plug underneath , which controls teh bec on the controller...you can do either or.....and the orange plug you pull to program the controller.......so pull either the red wire or black bec plug, ...he is the break down on how to program it...read below

Now that we have the controller wired and the motor and controller installed, we may begin the initial programming sequence.
First, turn on your transmitter.
Next, remove the red programming bridge (little red jumper near the battery leads). While you are there, you should also remove the black BEC jumper if you are using a receiver pack or UBEC as recommended. This black tab is near the red jumper, but tucked under the heatshrink. Remove this to disable the BEC and utilize the receiver pack/UBEC.
Now plug in the receiver pack/UBEC and the main batteries and wait. After 5 seconds, you will here a beep from the motor. When you here this beep, move the throttle to full power and wait. after another 5 seconds, you will here another beep. When you here this, move your throttle control to full reverse and wait. After 5 seconds, you will here a double beep, indicating that set up is complete. Now replace the red programming jumper and turn off/unplug your main batteries and receiver pack.
Congratulations, you have just programmed your controller for Forwad/Brakes/Reverse operation and it will operate similar to a regular reversible speed controller. The controller can be set up as a forward/brakes controller, as well. This is done by returning the throttle position to neutral (instead of full reverse)before the final set of beeps (double beeps). For forward only operation, keep the throttle at full throttle (instead of neutral or reverse) before the final set of beeps. This is useful for setups using mechanical brakes.
Now, if the motor goes backwards when you want it to go forward, we can quickly fix that as well. Here goes:
Turn on your radio, plug in the main batteries and receiver battery(or UBEC). While the system is on, remove the red jumper. When you here a beep, put the red jumper back on the controller. That is it! You just reversed the motor direction!

Alright. Here's what i'm going to do. I've tried everything to my knowledge and still nothing. Doesn't seem to be getting power. Now the controller worked about 2 months ago when used. It doesn't smell burnt either.

So here we go. I've created a picture. IF you could PLEASE tell me how you'd go about the setup and install that would be great. I'm running 14 cells

Each jumper has a number for easy reference. I've tried the setup as posted above and get nothing no response. I also get no power to my steering servo. However I can plug a receiver pack in my batt slot and my servo works fine.

i dont want to be a pain in the ass but i assume you are doing this with it conected to the motor as thats what the controllers use to make beep sounds i assume bk warriors are the same.
