Integy -
10.18.2006, 04:36 PM
Is Integy really that bad? Cause I want to get there arms and bulkheads ect. There the only ones that have red!:mad:1
1.Im debating to get the gorilla maxx chassis and get red bulkheads, silver diff cases, silver bulk braces, and silver suspention arms.
2. Or the stock chassis with the red bulks, siver diff cases, red chassis braces, siver skid, silver arms, and silver bulk braces.

Yes, integy is molded and machined afterwards. I am not keen on them, while others have good results. I like it when a thing is CNC'd from a solid piece of aluminum, instead of molded...
Can't help you out with choosing parts.. it's up to you i'm affraid..
I can guarantee you that the gmaxx chassis wil affect the handling on a very positive way over the stock chassis.

The Integy MRS5 (or MSR5 something like that) shocks are good, not tried any of the other parts.

I made the mistake of buying the MSR shocks. JUNK!
The best choices are the Team Losi made shocks sold thru Dynamite (available in red) or the World Famous Unlimited Engineering Supermaxx Supershocks!
They are arguably the best available. I like them. They are tough, smooth operating, well made, and very durable!
If memory serves correct, Cool Hand Country tells us that the Integy copies of the US Racer-X suspension are durable. Maybe he's right. I can tell you I've broken every Integy part I've ever owned (except their allen wrench set, if that counts).
The Integy copy of the U.E. parts offers maybe 30-50% of the strength, 90% or the looks, and 90% of the performance.
Serum may have some UE parts for sale. Check with him.

Ok, if you want red, go for the red Gorillamaxx chassis. I would recommend the FLM combo or hybrid bulks instead of the cases, braces, and bulks. Its about the same all-in-all, plus there stronger....Thats if you can't afford the FLM Hybrids and 1/8th scale gears...
