MGM 80 and Feigao 6s....now what - 05.21.2005, 01:26 PM

ok, i have another question about this setup. i went outside earlier to test out the gps in my t4 with this setup, i was using a cheapo stick pack just to test the gps while waiting on my 8 cell pack to finish charging. that test went fine even though the transmitter batteries were starting to fade. so i get the 8 cell charged and head out to run. the truck was moving on for about 25 feet and then it wouuld just completly drop throttle. it would beep at me and then it would just set there and beep when i held the throttle. after a few seconds it would start back up and i would line up for another run, same problem, it would just drop thr throttle ( servo still good) i looked in the tiny error msg section of my instructions and didnt really find a solution. any ideas on the problem? i am in the process of charging transmitter bats, but its weird cuz i didnt have any problems with the stick pack...
any help appreciated. (btw. never had the problem with any of my other packs-6 or 7 cell)

I imagine it a battery problem in one way, shape or form. The controller will automaticaly stop if it doesn't receive a strong enough signal. If your tx battes were dying, this could be the trouble. Try it again with good tx batteries and LMK what happens. If this turns out to not be the problem, we will work on other possibilities.

I think I can speak for the others when I say: It is our pleasure to help you get pleasure from your system! I thank the other members as well. I certainly don't know everything and it is quite nice to have the group of folks we have here with the knowledge and experience to assist people in need.

I would assume you have a bad cell or at least one bad connection in the pack.
