Mini Brushless Motors... - 11.28.2006, 02:13 AM

Which one is faster? The Dynamite C4 9200KV motor or the Mamba 8000kv motor?

Logic says the Dynamite should be faster, but I'm not just looking for top end. I want the most powerful overall motor. Some motors with exaggerated KV levels take forever to accelerate.

Any comments appreciated.

top end vs acceleration is all a matter of gearing. IMO, its easier to gear down than gear up. The motors tend to be more tolerant of heat than the esc's. That said, I would think the 9200 would be ''better'' in a lightweight mini.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

C4 hands down. its actually uncontrolable in my opionion. as far as gearing in most minis and micros you can not change the gearing I will be getting my mini t to about 36mph with mamba 8000 quart 33A and stock 6 sell losi pack. If your going with either motor c4 of mamba(less likely to break, More well known people for bl motors) Get the quark 33 a it is the best system and check out these combos www.b-p-p.com

Beleive it or not, I'm using a Mamba Max as the ESC lol...I know its overkill, but at least I know I'll never have a problem with my motor system being overworked...

Plus, I can get them for about the same as a Quark 33 costs...

It also depends on the weight of the mini? A 8k Mamba does not last long in a Mini Inferno that weights about 800-900 grams. What are you putting it in?

I was curious why did you switch? Do you have a link for the wraith?

I have a mamba 6800 on 3s in my mini t, and I cant imagine a reason to want more power. I can flip it over backwards with about 10% throttle.

I have the Mamba 6800 combo on 2s in my 18T and a Wraith 7K with a Mamba 25 on 2s in my Mini Inferno and they both work great (no heatsinks or fans on anything). The Wraith 7K is the way to go for heavy mini's like the Mini Inferno and the Mamba works great in the lighter mini's.

I have a 4600 golden horizions Heli motor in a duratrax mini quake SE, with 6 cells and can't see a need for more power

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
