A Revo diff has 2 spyders, just like a Maxx. As far as I can tell, there is no possibility to mod another 2 spyders into it.
I got myself the Maxximizer cups, and will get some alu housings as soon as they are available.
It's also a good idea to have a ring/pinion in the toolbox, but so far mine held up fine.

BTW, the Revo diff offers the same reduction as a Maxx diff, too.

So basically it's a tmaxx diff that you can tune with oil. I was hopeing they were 4 spyders. I really dont want to have to buy al cups and housings to make it strong enough for a bl motor.

Apparently even the nitro guys blow the stock diffs. My stockers held up good, I just installed alu cups to make sure.

I may have to reconsider building my BL revo know. I dont want to have to worry about blowing a diff. This is dissapointing news i was hoping they were a lot stronger than a maxx diff.

Hey, don't let that idea slip just because of the diffs. Run the stockers and get a spare one. I'm sure they will hold up for a while, and in due time you may be able to upgrade.

I can name a place where you can get a stock one for like $17.

My Revo is easier to drive than my Maxx, and I have less trouble with my BL Revo than with my Brushed Maxx.

At least the stock driveshafts seem BL proof.

Best hopup money can buy to keep the diffs going;

-aluminum diffcup
-aluminum diffhousing
-SHIMS!

With my savage is was wasting ringgears and pinions, now i got them aluminum they stay as new.. Its the flex of the plastic that kills ringgears and pinions

Team losi is offering a aluminum doffhousing (where the entire diff goes in) for their LST for about 7-8 dollars..... So it's common sence why they do this.. Come to think of it.. It screams for a BL conversion as well....

Yes, I know. I already have a design in my head. Wanna join me and start a company?

The off topic bug has got me, but no worries guys.

Serum, my head is full of ideas that would sell, but I have a lack of serious tools and machining skills. Just look at the Revoxx... guess how many Conversion Kits I would have been able to sell so far?! Still get mad response on it, just out of the footage it had here and on LSARC.com.
Sometimes I would really like to start some srious thing, like BL Kits for MT's and Buggies, and other great stuff for the selected RC costumer. Dreams, dreams. I wonder how Gorillamaxx started.

Back to topic: Yeah, you're absolutely right about the diffs. I already have alu cups in mine, and housings are on the list, but not available yet, as far as I know. The stockers have a good mesh, so no real need for shims at this point.
You know what the masses do? The wait until some company comes out with some upgrade complete diff (UE style) and spend a fortune on those. Guess who wins?

Especially here in Euroland I see potential.... think about it. Also keep in mind that the best enterprises and inventions came out of a corner where nobody expected them, and out of the most un-imaginable constellations. (hard for me to find the proper words)
