weird thing with my mm 5700 -

hey guys i got the mm for xmas and i ran it for a day and it ran AWSOME. i went to nc to go see my g/f and i decided to bring it along with me =) as soon as i got it out and tried to play around with it it was doing weird things. you know how it does those 2 little beep things at the beginning like how it recognizes steering and throttle. well it would recognize steering but not the throttle. i know i have everything right on the reciever and on the controller but it just doesnt work right. i took out the steering thing in the receiver and put the throttle one in that one and i could go with the steering wheel(like if i steered to the right it would go forward) but then when i tried putting the steering on it wouldnt work. eventually after a while of messing around i FINALLY got it working right. i got the steering to steer it and got the throttle to make it go. i left my g/f brother drive it and he drove it up some rocks and launched it into a canal (without water! lol) and since then it hasnt worked. down in north carolina they have these dithces full of grass for if it rains it goes into there instead of like flooding. so it was only full of grass. and now when i trie and like start it up it recognizes steering but does not recognize throttle. it will wait a sec and then do the little beeping sound and then it will start blinking red or yellow or orange. what is the cause of this? is the receiver crappy? or what?
for you who do not feel liek reading my story lol here is the problem

Couple of things. Are you turning on your transmitter first? The second set of beeps is when the tx/rx are both on, it beeps to let you know it is armed. If you are still having problems you should try to reprogram the esc. Do you have fresh batteries in your tx. Hope this helps, good luck.
You said you can make the truck go with the steering output, but does the throttle then steer fully? In other words; switch them around.
I agree with Cartwheels; re-program the ESC. Not all the options, just the transmitter part, which is easy to do. FYI: You should reprogram the transmitter to the ESC after making any changes via the PC software (according to the manual and experience). Set your throttle trim to center and your EPA to 100% or more first.
If you bumped your throttle trim and it is somewhat in the forward range when at rest, the ESC might be thinking you want to enter programming mode since that's how you enter programming...
i can't recall if it steers with the on/off switch on OFF...
It is possible (Like Brian says) that the controller is setup wrong. Set everything to neutral.
You did programmed it to your receiver/transmitter? here is the deal;
switch on transmitter, give a WOT, hook up the batteries (keeping WOT) switch on the speedo.. Wait till you hear the beeps, then go to full brake, wait for beeps again. Go to neutral, wait for beeps, and now the esc will give it's tipical mamba sound, telling you it's armed. If this all doesn't work, i suggest trying another receiver.
well i just reprogrammed it and it worked the first time but then after that when i turn it on it recognizes steering as usual and then it blinks red and green. after about 15 seconds it finally recognizes throttle and it works perfect. but everytime i turn it off it has that like 15 second delay before it works again. my receiver antenna completely broke off so im going to be buyng myself a new jrsx receiver.
im not going to buy it for about a week or so so ill let you know how it goes then!
