Thumbs up Had Some Spare Time - 01.09.2007, 09:08 PM

I had some spare time lately and i decided to rebuild my emaxx tires. As you know i am getting an E-Revo and when i get it i will be short on cash so i decided to make these temporary bashing tires ofcoures these tires will hold me and be there for my test runs but Real tires will be here once i get the funds but these spares will get me driving plus allow me to focus more money on electronics. I sanded and painted these tires with 6 coats, I also siliconed the tires for a like new shine. This shine may not be visible in the pics but in real life the Tires that are 3 years old look brand new. Let you know what you think remember it did take my about 5 hours of sanding and painting but i could have done better they are just to hold me. These tires stated out as stock emaxx tires. Now i have one pained set of 4 tires and 1 stock set of silver T-maxx tires 2.5 ones. Here they are. Enjoy

Pics of New Wheel

Here is the tires next to the tmaxx ones.

Looks good! I like black rims. They look pretty new for a 3 Y/O tire.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

Those tires never wear out. I got a set that are 4 years old and don't look worn at all

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Why didn't you just strip the chrome and dye the wheel? It would last longer than spray paint and not chip...

Dying would require removing the tire from the rim. That is something he didn't do and something he probably didn't want to do...Also something not worth it in my opinion lol...

I actually did remove the tire from the rim. i thought about dying and it would work but i wanted to spend no money on these becasuse i will be short on cash after i order my erevo and i need the cash i have now to buy it, so i tries to redo the tire with what i had. I took the tires off cuz they were glued crappy. So this time around i cleaned and preped the tire for good gluing becasue that is important in brushless.
