Looking To Get An XXX-T

Sadly I will be selling my E-Maxx and Nitro Rustler to get an XXX-T Sport. I would like to put the mm 5700 in it but I have a question. Will the XXX-T handle the power of the mm 5700?

Yeah I guess you didnt read my last post in the other thread. My parents made the decision that was too much for me to spend. I kind of want something that's fast so I was looking at the XXX-T Sport or maybe the E-Rustler. Not sure what the better choice is, the XXX-T is overall a better design as the E-Rustler is a lot cheaper but lacks some of the better design/quality. The motor and esc would be taken out and brushless put it. On the Rustler I could get a few FLM parts and it be nice, also cheaper at the same time.

Well if you enjoy jumping & bashing why not make an "intermediate" upgrade?

• Upgrade the motors for more speed (as I suggested earlier)
• Buy a used brushless system
• do your upgrade in stages

This is so hard to choose from...the only way I can do the E-Maxx is if I drag it out over time. I guess ill do that and just bare with not having a truck for a month. Regard this thread and i'm returning to my other thread to continue disscusing my E-Maxx.

Despite my hardcore team losi pride. I had over my fair share of differential rebuilts in keeping up with the Lehner Basic Series. I had an mf1 by the way, 1 great car.

I have also flown the LOSI banner proudly for many years. I ran hot modified brushed motors in mine and never had diff issues thankfully.

I just sold the stadium truck but if I replace it and I think I will the next one will likely pack brushless power by Lehner or Neu.:027:

My XXX-T is only a few months old and has had a Novak 5.5 in it since the second day I owned it. Mine started out as the RTR Sport version. The Matt Francis 2 only comes in kit for an is entirely graphite. I have heard that graphite is stiffer but will break easier than the RTR plastic parts. I have not had any trouble with my diff yet, I check/tighten it after every couple of runs. I also have an E-Maxx and still run the brushed Titans. I am choosing to mod the Losi because it is cheaper to fix when I break it.

I had a mf1 and ran my 9918/9L in it on 12 cells for awhile and it was insane. I don't think I ever got it to full throttle though. Never had a prob with the diffs but I did break the alum motor guard off from all the wheelies. I had strong springs in back on maxx shocks to comp the weight of the extra 6 cells. I took it to a hobby shop expo in a nearby town and proceeded to whip anything that cared to pull up along side it. Was fun til my axle shaft snapped.

I bought a XXX-T brushless for both me and my bro. I have to admit they are pretty fun to drive. I've also learned from experience that the graphite definitely breaks easier. I currently have a MambaMax 4600 kit in my XXX-T and honestly it is more then the poor thing can handle. If you don't mind doing alot of fixing and finessing then you will enjoy the XXX-T. No doubt it handles like its on rails compared to my rustler and pede, it even takes some pretty insane air so long as you land it on its feet. If you want an all out basher that can take lots of hard core brushless power... the pede would be a much better choice.

I ran my XXX-t MF2 today for the first time with the MM 7700 and 3s2p 4400 lipo pack....just speed runs up and down the street with stock spur gear and a 16 tooth pinion (I think) and got to nearly 55 mph per my hokey Bushnell radar gun....:020:

Motor,battery and esc were warm to the touch but not nearly hot...I know..castle says no more than 2s lipos but if I blow up the rotor I'll pay for it's replacement.Next up..bigger gears and careful heat monitoring for the 80 mph mark ...need more room as It kept spinning out at the far end of the run when I tried to turn it back..plus cars occasionally going by made me nervous

Thinkking of converting my nitro tc3 to high voltage electric to break the century mark but first gotta save pennies for a proper radar gun...then who knows...rccaractions fastest rc 2007 here I come :p

Good luck with that lol. 140mph is a tough record to break. Would be sweet of a fellow rc-monster member was the one to do it though. Even better.....Mike could make his G-Maxx do 160MPH on 20 cell LIPO and the biggest Lehner motor known to man... BAWHAHAHAHA


Of coarse I'm kidding guys. No need to explain to me all the reasons why that is impossible.
