I have used several of the 6 spider diffs, and they are nearly bulletproof. I have an 8 spider set to be built for a customer now. They are said to be evenb stronger than the 6 spider sets. They lower the overall reduction of the truck, which can easily be compensated for by installing a larger pinion.
I gotta figure if the diff fits in the hybrids or if the diff housings fit in the bulkheads or what needs modified to accomodate the stronger option.
Just trying to find out which ideas people may have tried and what experience I hope I don't have to gain the hard way.
Either will work perfectly fine. The UE set is a complete diff, which also needs bulkheads. The other options (8 spider diffs andnhybrid bulks) will also need pinion gears and bearings for the diff case. I actually have a pair of those 8 spider diffs in stock, but I don't think I have the pinions or bearings.
