Look at THIS! Seems VERY promising and possibly better than the Mamba Max. I know this will be my next ESC....If not the MMM HV.

This one passed by here somewhere..

I am not too keen on the programming device.. i prefer the smartcards as used by other brands.

The price (knowing quark) will be too high to be a real competitor for the CC controllers.

Well, being a Quark, it will probably need bigger heatsinks, won't run the voltage it is rated for, and will require one to sell a body part to afford it. :)

But, it will probably be silky smooth and run any reasonable motor with no problems.

Personally, I was expecting around $225 for price. Maybe a little more. Not to bad I would think...I would think they fixed the 6S problem to be honest...

They claim there is no problem on 6S, so i guess they don't fix what ain't broken.. And 225 would be an illusion IMO..

I don't know. That controller looks appealing on its face, but for me, customer sevice is a big part of the deal. I just called Castle and told them that I wanted to buy two cases for my MM controllers because I had stripped the screw holes. They sent me two, no charge, not even for shipping. That's service. Besides, I'd rather a controller that does more than it is rated for, rather than less. The only thing that I can imagine better than a MM, is a MMM, if it ever gets here.

For me I really think they need to start going further than 6s limits on ESCs. They can give it all the bells and whistles but if it can't do more than 6s I wouldn't bother - that's just because I want to run more than 6s I'm sure however it's great for anyone else.

I think 6s is fine, as long as they have an HV version too. Helps keep them competitive price-wise with similar products from other manufacturers.

A few months back I was talking to Frank at Quark and he eluded to a Monster truck version of an esc with a heatsink on top. I bet this is the first release and they will follow this with a higher capacity version. This one looks like its intended for 1/10 just like the MM.

I'm hoping to hear that they will release a MT version of this with higher amp capacity and higher voltage capacity as well. But this is a nice start.

But if this version is not price competitive with the MM, they wont sell many. I do like the portable programing device. Who drags their laptop to the track or out to the field when bashing. This little pocket device is sweet IMO. I always thought that a palm piolt version of the Mamba software would be the ultimate solution for programing ease and realisitc portability.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

So does the MM. Any sensorless ESC will run a sensored motor...
