SS5800 E-Maxx

Hi guys, great board you have here! I was wondering if you could give me some advice?

I’ve just recently converted my T-Maxx 2.5 into an E-Maxx with an E-tranny.. then I threw my SS5800 into it from my E-Pede. I’m running it on 7-GP3300’s geared 14/66 and I’m fairly pleased with its performance - not like the 2.5 but, not ugly either ;) . My problem is that even at 14/66 I got a thermal tonight while general bashing.

What I was wondering is: which brushless motor/esc will perform as well, or better than the SS5800, without having to worry about temps; here’s the ‘kicker’.. on 7-cells. In the future I’d like the option of going LiPo for more voltage however, for the time being I’d like to stay with my 8.4v GP’s.

Any advice you can offer would be much appreciated, thanks guys!
