I think this is aimed at the people who have money, but lack the skills to make anything. After hanging around the hobby shop for a while I would see people come in with simple repairs that they could fix themselves, but pay the techs to do it for them. Most of the people on this forum (save for Teaxsp) are mechanically inclined and can do their own repairs.

To some, the thought of cutting their radio tray (I have to use a saw on my "hobby" grade rc?) and making a small part here or there is too much. I enjoy the build process the most, but I have made stuff from scratch my whole life, and have great manual dexterity (I am also a snazzy dresser!). I feel bad for the people who lack the skills to really enjoy the r/c hobby... but I guess that everyone cannot be a great as I am...
