For optimum viewing of text and other office-type applications, set the video card resolution to whatever the LCD pixel dimensions are. So, if your new LCD is 1280X1024, set the video card resolution to that. It the text/icons look too small, you can increase their size. For gaming/TV/video it matters less since text is not as important.
Now all you need to get is a TV tuner card, hook up cable/antenna/whatever to it, and watch your favorite programs in a little window while on the forums! |
