Assembly questions

Guys got all my new bits last night, just have a few q's about assembly now :)

I'm using a bk warrior 9920 and feigao 540c 8xl

Wiring - there are 3 wires that I need to connect between the esc and motor. On the esc all 3 are blue and on the motor they are all different colours. Am i correct in thinking it doesnt matter what goes where but the wiring will determine the direction the motor runs in?

Is the motor directional? ie does it have a forward and reverse so I should ensure its wired it a particular way?

Is the ESC diectional? I thought I read somewhere that reversing the channels on he radio if its wired up incorrectly can result in a fried esc?

Theres no notch on the motor spindle for the pinion screw to bite into, I assume this is hardened. Anyone got any hot tips for cutting this? or is it a case of grab some long nose liers and hit it with a dremel til there is enough for the screw to grab onto?

am sure more will follow :) looking forward to getting this up and running!
