I do like the Muggy, but kept the MGT. The Muggy was an easier conversion. All I had to fabricate on that was the motor mount. Everything else was just trimming to fit stuff. I peeled maybe 10/1000ths off of the inside of the rear center diff bulk to make sure that nothing would rub, but you can do that with sandpaper and a flat surface. Everything else dropped right in. It took me about 4 hours to convert the Muggy, but that's because I had already done two sportwerks vehicles and had already been there and done that.

Another reason that I kept the MGT, was because I had TONS of spare parts for it. I just like the simplicity of the truck. The only problem that I had was that it kept breaking shafts inside of the tranny, but it has a center diff now. I had gotten an LSP center diff for the Muggy, but wound up not needing it, so it was just laying around. I got bored one day and did it up in the MGT.

The Muggy definitely handles better than the MGT. It think it's built better too.

Is it worth doing, for a basher, YES. It has a certain intimidation factor. I used to take it out to the gravel pit and when one of my buddies with a smaller faster vehicle started teasing me, I'd just roll over em, and pretty easily at that; and almost everything is a smaller vehicle too.

If you are on a budget, there's nothing wrong with the MM, as long as you don't try to run too hot a motor. A 9XL or higher turn would be fine. I just kept gearing up until the MM started complaining by cogging, and then backed off a tooth or two. Just remember that speed is not this truck's strong suit. Believe me, if you get this thing doing 30mph, God help anyone that you might run into, because it's gonna hurt. The tires and wheels add alot of rolling mass and unsprung weight to the truck. If you want to go fast with it, I'd recommend going with some 23mm hexes and getting the Proline HD wheels for standard size tires. If you get going much over 40 with the Muggy and the big tires, you will loose control.

well if i had a mgt like u did with tons of apares id do the same, i dont really like asso tho...and what do u mean? the ugy will flip of tres to if u wanted? lol i dont quite get what u mean by that

will a peice of L al work fine? i have a bunch of files, drill, dremel, etc i have all that stuff

i can see it handling better, but thats because its more truggy then monster truck... but by built better, u mean tougher, or more simple or?

and i like the sound of that! lol i would def do that to my buddys car LOL..will this beast soak up bigger jumps, and bumps that i will hit all bl... i assume its heavier then it was nitro


and i mean im on a buget, so if i want it done faster then feaigo and mm, but will prob have a long project to have fun with, so a quark and new for shure... i just figured out a quark air pro is the same as the monster, even has reverse! so for 180 bucks it should be worth the money, unless the mmm or r1mt is not much more and will run the neu's smooth

and i never drive wheres theres kids really, cars, but no ppl.... i want over 30 tho... needs to be onroad fun to lol.. but yeah that could hurt like hell!! but i already have one pair of big joes i could use, and i have 2 sets on road rage.. so theres on/off road tires lol.... i want BIG tires for it, its big, so it needs BIG shoes lol
