MGM 16018 (possible 16024) -
10.15.2007, 11:59 PM
Ok, I've just recently finished my CRT .5 (which is awesome). I promise a full write up with pictures and video once I get her completely dialed in, but for now you guys must wait.
Anyway, running the little .5 around has given me a dying urge to run my G2R (and try out these 4500mah Evo30 FlightPowers that are sitting right behind my keyboard).
Anyways, the G2R is somewhere between 9 and 10 pounds, and has a 1940/7 motor. I'll be running 4S (for now).
For the ESC I had been waiting for the MMM (and was thinking about using a MM in the meantime) but I'm afraid the 1940/7 is gonna be too much for the little MM and I'm dead tired of waiting for the MMM.
I've been hearing good things about the MGM and want to get your guys' takes on it. Is it easy to program? Does it run well/cool/without issue even when used at full specs? (like running 6S on a 6S max ESC)
I plan to get a 16018, since I plan to run just 4S on my G2R, but I need a 6S capable ESC when I run my G2R at the worlds fastest challenge next year, and the 16018 is supposed to handle 6S, which is good.
However, I also have a crazy idea of running 8S on a Neu 1521 in my G2R and seeing what that will do, as to where I will upgrade to a 16024.
So, my questions are just on how the MGM's are in general? How do they run? Do they run fine even when driven hard at full voltage capacity?
Thanks
BP
