Columbus OH 1/8th Brushless Race - 11.26.2007, 05:49 PM

I forgot to post this here too. There are some folks who might want to go that also frequent this site. I'm trying to convince glassdoctor to make the trip.

Here is a post from Tony Screws:

"I sent an email to Keith (Big Dog) and asked about adding a provisional 1/8th Brushless/LiPo class at the electric race. Keith said he would add the provisional class if we can get enough guys committed to coming out. Personally, I will definitely make the trip out for the electric race to run my brushless MBX5R (as soon as I get it back from Stephen Bess at R/C Car.....if he gives it back ....LOL ).

The race flyer has already been printed and is running in the magazines already so the only advertisement will be amongst ourselves online. They will only be able to add one class since the schedule will be very tight already so that class will be 1/8th scale buggy. I know many of the factory teams are interested in this class and many will have drivers out for the Nitro race or both. So I'm going to see if I can spark some interest over there in the factory camps.

If anyone is interested, please drop me an email at tony@tony1034.com

Once I get enough guys committed, I will gather all the registration info from everyone and get it to Keith. I'm not sure when the registration will open for both races (if it's not open already), but once we have enough guys committed we'll be starting the registration process early to show our committment to the guys at CRCRC. Plus I don't think anyone wants to hike many hours to go to a race and find out that only half the guys showed up and now you can't race (I'm in NJ and it's a 7 hour trip). Keith will be handling the registration info funneled through me personally since this class is not on the flyer.

I'm really looking forward to running my car when I get it back from the magazine. But I'm also looking forward to getting some good exposure at a very well know large event like the CRCRC race. So lets make this happen boys (and girls if there are any running these conversions ). If I can get enough interest soon, I'll also contact the magazine to see if they're interested in coverage of the class.

Thanks and best regards,
Tony P.
