I hope this is the case. Mine was sent back at the beginning of May and they called me to say that I would have to wait until mid-June for a replacement but I read about several people who sent theirs in after that and received repaired escs. I thought they had the issues worked out, guess not.
I have another Monster on the way that I'll use a ccbec on and I'll either remove the fan and mod the case like BrianG... or run the fan off of the bec also to help take the load off the internal bec. Hopefully it'll last until Castle gets everything worked out.
