Cleaning up RC's and misc part 4sale - 08.26.2008, 02:30 PM

Posted this over at Traxxas.com but can't list non traxxas items. Still have a Duratrax Truggy for sale and in addition to whats listed below. Have a Midnight Pumpkin 4sale

Truggy

Pumpkin

I’m doing a little shop cleaning. I have a few Traxxas RCs and part to sale. The links to photobucket below will take you to a For Sale folder. There are misc Traxxas (and non-traxxas) parts I no longer need. On the left of the web page there will be folders for each RC (4sale - Rustler) that is for sale. It will have detailed pictures and descriptions of the rc for sale. There’s plenty of pictures to look over. If you have any question PM me. I’m going to give these items a few days here and a couple other locations before I do the ebay thing. Asking prices I’ve listed seem fair, but if you want to offer me more. Well I’ll be okay with that.

Haven’t gotten prices on all the RC in one of the folders, but al the hobby grade RCs are all priced.

Here’s the Traxxas RC for sale:

Had enough parts laying around to get a couple of XL-5s put together. There no spare parts for the Pede or Rusty. They are the spare parts.

Rustler - XL-5

Traxxas TQ & Receiver, XL-5 Speed control. Reedy 19t spec motor. RPM front bumper. The tranny has been rebuilt with the new vxl internals. I put bearing in the bell crank. The carriers will need upgraded it still has bushing installed instead of bearings. Looks like one of the rear rims has a crack in it.

Stampede - XL-5

Has a Lynx 75mhz AM transmitter and receiver. XL-5 Speed control and a 19t Komodo Dragon motor. Has the new vxl carriers installed with 5x11 bearings. Tranny has the VXL gearing installed and a RPM front bumper.

Sledgehammer

The XL-1 esc doesn’t have reverse anymore. Seems a common problem with them. I installed a Duratrax ESC w/ 12t Titan from one of the XL-5’s. It’s in great shape. It’s still very clean and original. The Stampedes older brother suspensions a bit stiffer the then the stampede. I’ve only ran it a couple of times. I got it before I really knew what a Traxxas Sledgehammer was or it roots as a monster truck. If you’re a collector… here’s one for you.

Had a tough time deciding which of these next two rcs to leave the EVX esc in. I flipped a coin and the E-maxx won the esc.

E-Maxx 3906 "3.3 Spec"

(3.3 spec upgraded w/ wide arms)
This was a spare e-maxx I had on the shelf in case talked somebody that came over into bashing with me. Didn’t happened to often but it’s been beefed up. It a used buy not used very often e-maxx. Spent the last six month hanging from a hook in the shop. I only had one steel idler gear available so I installed that for second gear. First gears still has the delrin gear installed. It’s got the stock Titan motors installed. Other then the first gear idler everything else has been upgraded to 3.3 specs. Has the 3.3 differentials installed, drive lines (excluding front drive line has a 2.5 shaft installed) and axles. Has the 3.3 wide arms and knuckles installed. Has the EVX 14.4 esc installed and the traxxas 3ch Transmitter and receiver included. Comes with a red stock body and a camaro body. The EVX has been coated with a water proofing spray for electronics. I used it in the Villian IV for a while so took extra precautions.

Villian IV

I removed the manual speed control and 20t stinger motors when I first got it and installed a set of 14.4 Titans in this and the EVX out of the above E-Maxx. The stinger motors are not available but I will include the Manual Speed Control that came with the Villian IV. I installed the water cooling jacket for the EVX and sealed it with water proofing sealant. The EVX and Titans are cooled by a water pickup that was installed. The shell of the boat was stained a dirty white when I got it. No way to get it clean. So custom paint job was done. Turned out pretty well could use another coat of clear gloss on it though. I have the following parts that I haven’t gotten around to installing on it. Graupner 4mm u-joints. Villian EX props. Chrome railing for the outside of the boat. It also has a spare outdrive housing/propeller shaft and two spare gears. A tried my hand at a custom trailer for it. PVC pipe is like a grown mans erector set. I will include it also. Although the tires and shocks that are pictured on the trailer are no longer on it. I’ll try and get a couple of older shock on it. Turned out pretty cool it also doubles as a stand. The hitch part can be swung back under the trailer to have the front part of the trailer rest on. The evx is no longer installed in the Villian. It is back where it belongs. In the e-maxx. The water pickup and water jacket that goes on the evx instead of the Heat Sink is still in the boat. All you would need to do to run this Villian with your EVX speed controller is to remove the heat sink fins and place the water cooling jacket on it. It just slip right over the fins the heat sinks sit on. There’s a thread I linked to below that shows that. The boat was fast with the evx and a pair of good batteries.
Here’s a couple of threads about the install of the water cooling etc

Would like to keep all these RCs but I need to let them go. They don’t get used and take up space.
