Good question. I'm sure they are 2 poles mainly because of the way the magnet is. If it had more the 2 poles it would look something like a Aveox and Neu.

Good thing you started this thread because I have a question for the Novak guys as well.

What would be the Kv of a HV 1.5 and 2.5?

Reason for the question is, I'll be soon having a 200A ESC coming and I plan on using the above mentioned HV to try and set a 2S lipo speed record.
