this is great! cant wait to try it! this is all very helpful. i am maybe thinking just go with 5s on my 1515 1.5D. this would be ideal setup i think. it would put the motor at 50k rpm which would be great for racing IMO.

as for the 1512 1.5D the 5s just sounds insane. according to this ( http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info...oducts_id=3076 ) it is right about 62k rpm. i am worried about pushing the limits of my $250 motor a bit but its a Neu right? it should be ok. haha. thanks for the tips guys.

so what if i gear down from a 13t pinion to a 12 tooth? how much speed will that take off the top? does it make it more torquey on the bottom?

i run the long shank pinion setups on my buggy and truggy. i am not a fan of the tekno elektri-clutch. so i have the 14t, 15t and the 17t pinions. what kind of affects would i see by changing out the pinion? how much top end increase would i see to go from the 13t to the 17t pinion? how about the 17t pinion on the 1512 1.5d with a 5s? would that break the 75mph mark? or would i just burn up my motor/esc?
