Think of the Wheely King - it wasn't specifically designed for crawling right out of the box, yet can actually take a lot of abuse. A friend of mine has his set up for ~35mph, and since he lengthened it (~12in. wheelbase now) and swapped out the stock 3-link for a 4-link, it has been just fine.

Just FYI, if you're doing a 1/10, you're gonna want to use Wheely King axles with a widener kit. The Axial axles are just too narrow for anything but crawling.
