fan hook up

hi i need help with a traxxas slash,i have a mamba max speed control and 6900kv motor,a 7.4v 5000 mah lipo battery, is a 23 gear to hi it runs great like this i just want to make sure its not geared to hi,and were do i plug the fan into on the receiver its the stock traxxes receiver
