Continued trouble w/my castle link... - 02.13.2009, 04:41 PM

I had the castlelink v3.05 on my computer saved. I did notice that the disk had the year 2007 on it and my other discs had 2008 on them. So I uninstalled the program and reinstalled using the new disc and now it will not save it..odd. I am using vista and as stated, I had the programmed saved already.

This all came about from needing to update to v3.12. Every time I linked w/the esc a message would pop up saying that this version is not able to automatically check for up dates. So, I tried to download right from castle the newest version w/the programmed still saved on my computer...a no go... Next, I uninstalled v 3.05 and tried to reinstall it using a newer disc. It would load into the computer, but not save it. Now, as you all know I had to click run as admin. to make this work as I have done before w/no probs. I

When installing, I get the message that there is a problem and the file cannot open...I then go to the castle icon and click run as admin and it runs. As soon as I close everything out, it won't save it

I have 4 castle link discs and have tried them all w/out success. I am wondering if my new virus protection is somehow inter-upting something?

Once the castle link program is open, I can use it, but it requires me to use the disk every time and I cannot get the updates I want....any ideas?
