Soft or Hard clutch shoes? -

so i finally made the switch to the clutch and raced with it tonight and loved it. but i am wondering if someone can explain what the different grades of aluminum do for performance. like soft, hard, medium clutch shoes.....which has better engagement? which has longer wear? etc. thanks.
