ezrun 150a brushless esc

i received my ezrun today but i cant get it to work. i plugged it into my reciever and i connected my battery turned the switch on..a green light flashed once and that was it.

do i really need the programming card for this esc??

also i connected my old esc back up and my car went crazy..no throttle response for a minute. servo wouldn't turn. i was getting pissed lol

i kept messing with it then it worked but my car would only go backwards. really annoying. i remembered that if its doing this u r sapposed to switch two of the motor connecters and it dont matter witch two. did it but to no luck.. my car would go forward but when i let off the gas and pressed it again it would cog then it would fly into reverse. i said i better get on here before i mess something up. maybe i already have.

im really concerned about my new esc though
