well, the medusas have been used a lot in planes, too, before the became popular for cars, as far as I remember. and surprise - no problem.
when these motors /the 75-55-1/ works on 8s in a plane, 6s in a truggy should be ok. sure, you can't get the same cooling in the car like in a plane...

the efficiency seems to be good, the 55 at least seems to be better then the hxt quannum, which is no bad motor at all.
here in germany there have been successful tests with a quannum for offroad-use and a mega as well. so I don't know why there should be a problem. the more poles, the better for partial load, wich is typical for cars.
