Yeah, I thought about that, but its still not quite enough clearnance & looks rather weird too- I think it'll be fine as it is for the time being.

Interim update:

God bless saturday deliveries- my knuckles, body posts & servo mounts arrived. I have to strip the blue anodizing off the latter two items, then I'll post up some pics on monday or tuesday; got my Dad's birthday Sunday evening so we're going out for a meal and drinks. Hes.... 60-something years old....
