I like the buzzar type alarm that plugs into the balance plugs- 3.0v per cell stock setting is about perfect. For you, a 2s version would be correct- just solder on the white connector or solder the red & white wires directly to the battery plug coming from the esc (BEC side, see bottom). Once the battery starts dropping off in voltage near the end of the run, it will buzz more frequently:

There is also a version with a red LED instead of a buzzar- mount it somewhere like in a window on the truck so that you can easily see it- the more often it lights up, the more discharged the lipos are becoming:

I have one of those and it does work well- bright LED. Dont use it anymore though as my setup is rather different compared to my old hvmaxx powered setup.
