Which pinion for my buggy? (conversion) - 12.27.2009, 03:44 PM

Hi,

I want to convert my old buggy to electro. I'm buying a MMM 2200kv set and some 4S 5000mah lipo's.
I don't know what the diff ratio is of my buggy. I can't find it anywhere in the specs. But I guess it's between 3-3.3 (rather around 3.1-3.2 I guess)when I turn the wheels and look at the diff. I guess that the pinion that comes with the MMM set will be too big (18T) Could anyone help me? My diff is 52T and my nitro engine was 14T is guess.

This is what I become with the 18T pinion.

Total Ratio: 9.1 : 1
Tire Circumference (inches): 13.82 inches (351.1 mm)
Rollout: 1.52:1
Total Motor Speed: 31240 RPM
Vehicle Speed: 44.94 mph (72.18 km/h)
Effective KV Value: 2110.81
KT constant: 0.61 oz-in/A
Motor Torque: 0.32 ft-lbs
Final Torque: 2.91 ft-lbs
Final Power: 1480 watts (2 HP)
