Talking Hyper 7 brushless conversion - 01.04.2010, 03:04 PM

Hey guys, first post so be nice :)

Just bought a hyper 7 and sold off all my nitro junk, modded the radio tray and now i have a little project on my hands

firstly, anyone on here have a converted hyper that they could link me to? i'm a little confused as to what body to use, as the stock one is all chopped up from factory, i have filled in the holes but ideally i would like a more streamlined one...

I've ordered the caster racing battery boxes, caster racing esc mount and a RCM motor mount, i intend on setting it up in a similar configuration to the caster racing fusion, with the motor in the place of the fuel tank, i will have to cut the chassis under the spur gear to make it fit, but it should offer better balance.

this position limits me to motors of around 73mm or less, is that a problem?

i intend on getting a xerun ESC and at the moment i'm not really sure what motor to get...

I was looking at the tekin motor http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...t8motor&cat=20 and thinking that the 2050kv one teamed with 6s lipos... but i'm not really sure...

i could just go with the xerun combo, that comes with a 2000kv motor... i really dont know...

i will be getting 2 5800mah 3s (or possibly 2s to keep the weight down, but i dont particularly care... recommendations?) 30c zippy flightmax lipos so i should be ok in the amps department...

i will be mainly bashing and doing speed runs but i would also like to race infrequently. so i would like something that will run cool and long.

thanks guys!
