Is this possible? - 07.06.2010, 04:35 AM

Oi oi amigos!

Been playing a bit with converting a Savage to brushless and then making it an XL... the usual stuff.

However Im a tad annoyed with the center gearbox. It takes alot of space, dictates where my motor must be, and needs to be upgraded to HD gears in order to avoid breakdowns (my locked in 2nd gear keeps breaking).

So... why not grab an ultra low KV motor strech the axle and let it grab the dogbones directly? Would this work?

Differential Ratio: 3.2222222222222223 (bullet proof)
Transmission Ratio: 1
Additional Ratio: 1
Spur Tooth Count: 1
Pinion Tooth Count: 1
Battery Voltage: 22,2
Motor KV: 331.1565
Tire Diameter (inches): 6.69 (Terra pins)
Top Speed (MPH): 45

If so... Any good ideas in regards to motor?
