My first truggy, setup q's - 02.26.2011, 03:29 AM

Hi

I finally found a truggy roller that I liked, I have been looking for a while. I was looking for one of these, Hyper ST Pro, MBX6T, D8-T, and RC8-T(only if I could get the RCM full chassis conversion).

I eventually found a dirty, but otherwise lightly used Hyper ST Pro roller, with a box full of parts, torsen diff, extra spider diffs, arms, shocks etc. No nitro stuff, because I am converting it to BL

I recently fell on som icy trail when walking my dog, and my kne was twisted out at a very unnatural angle. The following period of recovery was spent at the workbench, getting the ST back in shape. I cleaned it very well, and rebuilt the diffs and shocks.

I bought a cc/neu 1518 1y 1800kv at the sale, knowing I would find a good home for it. I have the cc 1512 1,5y 1800kv in my hyper 8,5 Pro, and IMO its the perfect kv for 6s

Rest of the setup is MMM, 6s 4000mah 40C turnigy and a digital strong servo. I use mikes mount and the D8-T tray with esc shelf. I had to modify the underside of the tray to get it to fit without hitting the spur. I also had to use a MBX6 mudguard on the left side so the batt tray isn't hanging over the edge. Not symetrical, but looks good.

I only had 10k and lower diff oil, so I am trying 10k 10k 10k The spider diff doesn't need as thick oil as reg diffs, so 10k in the spider center diff could be enough. I am going to buy more oils, anyone know what oils I should use F, C and R?

I can not wait to try the truggy, hope the weather changes.

I'll get some pictures for you soon, so my thread can be worthy
