Had my first flame-out today

Fried my mmm and even started the grass on fire Thankfully it wasn't too bad as in it went out soon. It produced enough heat to desolder the battery input wires So anyway, is there a quick and easy way to test if the motor is still good without opening it up? I have a multimeter if that helps.
