Battery placement opinions - 02.29.2012, 04:16 PM

Would like to hear some other opinions from the fellow monster members on battery placement in e-buggies. I know that the norm is forward placement but the nitro based buggy layout has the heavier componets like motor and battery box in the rear. I ran my rc8 with rear battery for years and loved the stability and traction with the setup. Recently upgraded to a new chassis and went with the mid-forward placement for testing. Love the extra steering but the car does not fly as flat and lost much of it's stability. Just wondering what others had tried and what results they got. When time allows I will move it back to the rear position but thought we might get some interesting opinions.
