1520 enough motor for 1/5-1/6 scale cen nemesis? - 03.10.2012, 04:55 AM

Greetings rc monster crew, I want to start by saying that I think this forum is fantastic and I'm very excited to be here. :0)

I'm building an XL cen gst/nemesis, It's about 26-27 inches long, wheelbase 19 ish, width 20-21, I'm adding 2 to 3.5 inches to length and width. It should weigh in about 15-18 lbs, a hog I know.
I have a mmm 2200kv combo that I was thinking about using, I've read about it being used and seen videos but I just don't think it will be trouble free on the heat front.
I then turned to looking at the 1717 but worry about mounting that up.

The 1520 seems like it might work, I'm assuming I'd need to run 5 or 6s with it so again I'm assuming that something along the lines of a mamba xl2 would also be in order if I want to be worry free.

Current final drive ratio is 16, i have tires ranging from 6.4 to 7.5 inches tall to run. Pinion is a 9t Novak, spur/cd is a 50t hot bodies ve8.
I know my pinion is going to wear quickly being so small so I'd like to kv down and gear up from where I sit now with my calculations; 2200kv, 4s lipo, top speed around 45mph. I've never driven this vehicke, it's not finished so all my planning based in the 2200kv is just on the speed calculator using inputs from what I currently have.

So, would the 1520 excell here, what esc and voltage would you all suggest which leads into what esc I would need and lastly based on all that what pinion to accompany my 50t spur cd and 2.89 diffs.

Truck is a basher, desired top speed would be 40 to 60 with gobs of torque.
Thanks in advance fOr any help given.
