Lightbulb School Me... - 04.14.2005, 02:18 AM

Ok, so I fried the .21 in my Savage... already went ahead and sourced a used 25 motor, and ordered a bunch of other stuff to go with it. All in all, I'm dumping $200 into this....

then it started to dawn on me, again.. that I gotta keep buying nitro for this thing. I still have almost a full gallon of 20% in the garage.

So, I saw a few brushless conversions on the Savage Central site and I'm here to learn more about motors, controllers, and gearing for my application.

I'm not looking to go faster then 30-40mph, I'm not a bashing nut to an extreme.. I'm not trying to jump over a house lol .. but I'd like good low end torque but not so much where I'm gonna break drive train parts.

So far I've been recommended to go with the Feigao 9L and Warrior 9918 controller... but I'm not all on the up and up on why?

So, any help, insight, examples, etc.. is greatly appreciated. I'll be happy to have as much performance as my lil .21 without having to get raped for nitro fuel...

now beyond that, i'm just waiting for the cost to come down on the electric helis and I can dump my nitro .32 powered heli or.. go with a gasser :)
