Thanks for all the replies guys. I just finished rebuilding my E-Maxx into SoldierMaxx with the FLM chassis. I used the standard Traxxas u-joint style drive shaft in the front and the one that comes with the FLM chassis on the rear. I haven't done any testing on the track yet, but it's doing well on the street and in the grass.. I'll post a few pics when I get a chance.

I made a mistake when I said my gearing was 18/66 above...it was actually 18/72 (I thought I had a 66-tooth spur gear...turned out when I disassembled the truck that it was a 72-tooth gear.

I'm now testing (emphasis on the word test) with motor/speed-control unfriendly setup of 20/66 just to see how far I can push the Feigo 9L and the Quark 80B Speed control. I'm running topless for now since I'm just testing and I have not painted my new Hummer body for it yet. Running topless should help protect against overheating for now. :013:
