60 mph needs about 2000 watts. - 05.11.2005, 07:46 PM

I've done some experimenting and when I run my Basic XL 2400 using 18/66 gearing (stock tranny and diff) and 22/66 (stock tranny and diff), I keep on getting the same top speed. It seems that this motor could take my emaxx beyond 60.4 mph, but the 8s lipos can't deliver more than 2000 watts so I'm hitting this wall at 60 mph for 8s 3500 Polyquest packs.

So, if you guys wanna hit 60 mph with an emaxx, you need to be able to pump out 2000 watts. In NiMH, that means you need at least 20 good cells pushing 100 amps each.

Too bad my last attempt the thing wiped out and busted off the rear shock tower and shock!!! Good thing chassis didin't break.
