Lipo for e-maxx

i was thinking about buliding some lipo packs a while back. there were some single cells on ebay for a resonable price. I could have built 2 12,000mah packs for around $250, but lipo is too dangerous IMO to be building yourself. I may look into the kokam packs that mike runs, but im looking for something over 4000mah. anyone got any ideas?
