PowerStroke's minus the by-pass

I have been considering switching to 1/8th buggy shocks for my E-Maxx. And only going w/ 4 shocks total.

I also researched all 11 pages in this section and saw where a few were ditching the bypass shocks and just running the 4 Powerstroke shocks.

Is this a good idea? What springs should I use, color & firmness?? What weight oil should I use for this set-up? Does anyone know if really works very well? I'm willing to give it a try.

I also found some going with 4 Revo shocks but losing a bit of travel.

Any thoughts?
