I'll be racing Wed night all year.... I'm actually running the races this year.. me and Mack.

But Saturdays get too busy for me in the summer.... family stuff, going to the lake (when it gets real hot in July and August :) ) etc... I have a boat to play with too. (not r/c lol)

Sounds good. Nights are cooler anyway. :) Besides, the Wed night races seem a lot more "informal" and more for fun. Last year, I went to a few Sat races and people seemed a bit more high-strung and rigid.

You outta get an R/C boat to race your 1:1. And maybe make/get one that is the same model as yours. :)

Has anyone tried adding additional caps to the MM to see if it helps with the cogging issues of the MM/Neu combo?

I have been meaning to do that. I have a big cap from an Mtroniks that I was going to try. But first I wanted to check the specs... make sure it's as fast as the CC ones.

I have asked Castle about doing this. Of course they say it doesn't need it (their products are perfect ;) ) but then again it won't hurt to add more.

Anyone know where to get some good caps?

Speaking of specs does anybody know which caps would be best to use?

I know that most computer motherboards use low-ESR caps due to some of the high currents and high frequency ripple, especially in the 3-phase CPU voltage down converter (converts the PS 12v into whatever core voltage the CPU needs at VERY high currents - at least 50A+).

So, a quick search found LXZ series caps. A couple 35v 270uF version should suffice, especially since they would be effectively in parallel with whatever is currently on there further increasing capacitance adn lowering total ESR. You can do a distributer search here. Digikey has them at a very decent price.

Thanks Brian, your the man. I've used the wrong thing before with scary results. You have helped me out quite a few times now. By the way, I love your R/C calculations, it has come in handy. Lots of good info.
