so what do i need to order? (bl revo) - 05.06.2007, 10:46 PM

well the money has now come in and its time to be ordering the parts. i have enough money to spend so money isnt really an option (i have about 5 rc cars still left to sell each going for the least 200 and the most 500) plus i have money on me now so im ready to order everything!

ill be using a revo with
vantage chassis
rpm arms
alum steering knuckles
alum rockers
will be using stock tranny
single steering

so im pretty sure im going to be buying the quark 125b and the 8xl. if i want more power or w/e ill upgrade to neu or lehner but for now i will stay with the 8xl.

for batteries i have 6s a123 but everyone sais thats too much.. so im either thinking 8 cells nimh or like 5s a123. ill use the 3s for my little rusty and invest in some new 5s packs. if i did that how woudl i lay them out. 2 on one side then 3 on the other side or what?
i would invest in some trackpower but i just dont like the thought of them... 120 for a 7.2v battery and it could die on me. idk.
illprolly end up going 5s because of the amazing charge times.

as for a motor mount im going to talk to mike about getting on custom made.

tires and rims... i have 3 different sets of racing tires... one set with white rims... one set with green... and one set black.. lol i also have those 3 color wings so i can match!! =D

is thereanything else you think i will need to make this an awsome bashing and every once in a while race revo?

i will be ordering soon so lets get some good talk going!

thanks once again guys!!

Why are you gonna talk to Mike about a motor mount? He has one on the store front for it....As for the aluminum knuckles, go with RD Racing knuckles.

I don't think a finned Neu will fit on it. And I know you can't use the rear motor support with any Neu (finned or not) because of the larger diameter.

Wait a sec! I said "I don't think...", which means I didn't try it. I just wanted to bring it to your attention before you bought one. :) I noticed there isn't much room between the bottom of the 10XL and the mount. But, yeah, the rear support won't work unless you mod it.

If you can afford it, why wouldn't you just drop the $350 on a G3R? Can't say I have any experience in Revo but heres what I'm getting

G3R (most likely the aluminum version)
slipperential of coarse
8th scale diffs
Lehner motor
ESC still yet to be determined (curse castle for holding back monstermax ESC)

For all the money it takes to get a brushless Revo up and running, it seems a shame to hold back on the gorilla chassis. Better of to start with the good chassis and work you way from there.

I highly doubt it. I checked my email last night at 12:30 AM and saw he got a package ready to ship at 12:22 AM.

He must be a robot or something. Granted, if I sell something on ebay and it finishes in the evening/night, provided its a week day I will post it the next day. But Mike is just relentless- he is part cnc part human....

That is very true. Thankfully there are plenty of people who have had to figure this out before, so you can just do the same/ similar to them- but with your twist in mounting points/methods. Its all good baby!

I am in a happy mood cos I just sold my phaltlines for $140!!!! They only cost me about $80 new!!!! Its crazy- they are sold out everywhere in the UK, and since I didnt like them (too narrow) I resold them for a small profit- I also sold the G3.3 shocktowers for $20. You'll see what I 're-invested' the money in on wednesday.... goodnite.
