To lighten things, try drilling some holes in non-needed places on your added brackets. Also, going with lipos would help. ;)

I thought about some speed holes. :D Probably will do that as soon as I tear it down again. The lipos will happen eventually too, as soon as the budget permits. I'm going to get one more set of nimh 7 cell IBs, then I'll start the conversion to lipo, starting with a nice charging system, then the batts.

Thanks for all your help and advice Brian, you saved me a lot of time and money I'm sure! Especially the data base and technical info. That was a lot of work to compile and I appreciate it.
