Looks like everyone that went forgot to ask the price, lol. I plan on only running 4s, but I just glad that I won't have to find room for UBEC, and hopefully no heatsinks or fans. Lets now hope that it actually comes out in 3 months.

It's a bit dissapointing if it's only rated for 5s, I was hoping for a solid 6s controller, there's already enough around that can do 5s...but if it works well without getting hot then it's probably good enough for me...unlike Quark.

The MM does 5S already lmao. I wish they would have made it 8S compatable. That would have been reasonable.

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

You need to use mechanical brakes to make it fully compatible with 6s. It's a bit cumbersome, but hopefully they'll sympathise with the HV guys and bring us a HV version.

One would think os, but once you make it to the 5S and 6S levels, voltage really skyrockets under breaking, and thats when Fets begin to blow. That is why it handles more with Mechanical Brakes. I think it will handle 8S with Mech brakes probably...

Leroy,
Why don't you try out the super big nasty 160.40 schulze controller?

It's pricy, but you surely can throw anything at it.

I'm quite happy now with my Schulze. After programming it right, it's working quite smooth.

If the 160.40 was a bit smaller, I would've certainly bought it.

Tooooooooo huge, though.

Well the price is one reason. The size is another. I don't need a 160 amps.
40 volts x 160amps = 6400 watts
I can see some parts fail long before then.

Peace!

Oh the anticipation. I can't wait till these things are released. I just ordered a Quark, so I called them to ask questions so that I'd be ready when it got here. They told me that the Quark Monster Pro is a 1/10 scale controller and has been tested in vehicles up to about 9lbs. I need more. I, along with the rest of you, I'm sure, am hoping that this esc will be the answer.

It's about time that the technology catch up with us.

I just emailed Castle Creations, so maybe they'll give me a little more info... I post up what they say.

Went to the Toledo show a few weeks ago and talked to the engineer that made the switching BEC. Of course I forgot his name. Nothing real new here from what everyone else is saying. These are not exact quotes but what I remember him saying. He said they are so close but they don't want to release it till it is perfect. He did say that the Neu motors were what they were basing there motors on. Obviously they will be made in China to be price competitive but knowing Castle they will be good motors.

I said: so Neu is designing and making your motors? He basically just said he couldn't really talk about that. As this business goes, I'm guessing they at least are working with them, after all Neu is the best USA made motor. Actually the only one as far as I know.

Asked when the Neu cogging issue and the Novak compatible software will be done. No time line but that they will fix it for us. He said it will be a separate setting in the software where you change it to what motor you are running.

I asked about cell count on the MMM but can't remember exactly what he said on that. Sorry.

This is not gospel, just stuff as I remember.
