I just don't understand why castle doesn't give us the ESC and release the motor when it's ready. Are they really afraid they'll lose a bunch of motor sales? Seem to me it would be better to be selling something rather then nothing at all.

Well, with the similarities, I figure the first out will get my money first

I'm not sure about that. I'm actually leaning Tekin. Seems like they've been more straight forward on it. Plus, they're local guys since I'm in Idaho. Sounds like they're a little more devoted to the racer too.

I agree, but with the specs being similar, i figure they might be very close except for maybe programming. If the MMM has the new bec for 6s runing and tekin doesn't, I might have to go green

Guys...dang!!!...haven't had time to check up in here for a while but see that we need to set some things straight.
#1 NOBODY can tell you when a product they're inventing is going to be done...it just is when it is. We're one of the companies that WILL tell you what is going on...we have been reluctant to give more information because of this fact, and because we're getting ripped on for keeping you informed!
#2 Yes, Patrick and the rest of the CC team have been discussing releasing the ESC by itself because the motors are taking longer than anticipated.
#3 We WISH we could package it with the Neu motors...this was the first option we looked in to. Unfortunately though the cost is higher, and we would have to pass that cost on to you...which we don't want to do. We want to give you the most bang for the buck.

Joe;
Can you tell if the update for the neu motors (slotted or non slotted motors) will be available for the MM as well?

Glad you chimed in Joe! How about some particulars on the specs of the MMM straight from you so there is no confusion. I own to CC products and love them and don't think I would wander off on something new (at least to me). But are we any closer to releasing the MMM?

Specs are not finalized so I can only give tentative specs right now. It's looking like 5/6s lipo, 2000W+ peak, 200A continuous (1000A cont in brushed mode lol). Motors are 540XLs...kv's will be around 2000. There probably will be a fan involved...that's about all I can give you gents for now.
Serum...I'm showing the engineers the little issue with the Neu motors...we will be making it work with those for sure.

new...re-read above...there's no way I can tell you when something we're inventing is going to be released...nobody has ever done it before so you never know when it's going to be done. It just is when it is. Sorry.

Right on Joe - thanks for stopping in and giving us a heads up. I would highly encourage you to pass on the desire for the ESC to be released now. For whatever it's worth. I just know that I really need the ESC and so do a bunch of others. I have a great Lehner motor already, so I'm good there. If there's anything you can do to "motivate" the team - it would sell very well.
Thanks for your help!

I'm just waiting for the esc. The 2000kv motor will be a bit to hot for my liking in an eighth scale truck on 5S.

I to am waiting on esc as i got the motors i want now. I understand the problems with announcing a release and await its release. Will it have a BEC that will handle the voltage we will run in it? Like 4-6s lipo's? Thanks for chimming in
