Take a pass on that 1/8 shaft. If you were putting it (the 1930) into a truck, I might have some concern, but since you are putting it into a buggy, I can't say that what you got was the wrong motor.

Like I said, I got this relatively low kv Neu motor and like it. All it takes is a little gearing. Heck, if I had it in a vehicle that weighed two or three pounds less than my truck does, it would probably be perfect.

If you re wire it to the lower kv form, just get yourself a couple of larger pinions. I think that a 16 and an 18T pinion along with a 44T spur will give you a decent gearing range. You won't be breaking any speed records, but you'll be running cool and for a long time, if what I've seen from the Neu is any indication of what to expect from the 1930.

Besides, with the lower kv setup, you'll be set for when the 5S and 6S esc that are coming out get released. Running that motor in low kv form on 6S would probably yield gut wrenching performance while sipping the current.
