Yes, definitely too loose! If it's very hot, you might want to check the pads to see if they've melted. You have to set the slipper quite tight - basically 1/2 turn from fully tight.

Thanks all you guys for your help.

The thing is, it wasn't that loose, maybe a 1/4 turn or less from tight.

I took it out a few more times bashing around, then one time I noticed the Maxx would not go at all when I hit the throttle, you could just hear it spinning. Turns out it had loosened itself almost all the way off! Anyway I tightened it back up again, and went bashing a few more times. Today I looked at it real close, and noticed the back was melting off!!! I had it 1/4 turn almost the whole time, except for maybe a few minutes when I noticed it loosened itself.

Am I doing something wrong? or should I get the high temp pads for it?
