Ya it was a Hitec The next servo I think I'm going to try is the Futaba S9550 low profile std size servo it's about a 1/2" shorter the a STD servo and with 83ozin torque and .11 speed @6v should be much better then the Hitec.:)

thats what we run in our 12th scale pan cars.... there REALLY nice for 54 bucks!

or wait, got a link? is that the full size one? if thats the 10th scale one, im about to buy one for my cyclone

That looks to be my next servo as well. There were a couple on ebay that went in the $50-$60, but haven't seen them in a while.

There are plenty of auctions for the S9650.

I believe you are thinking of the S9560. They retail for $55, were as the S9550 is $80.

I had a S9650 as my throttle servo on my nitro CRT.5 and the gears broke. I did use it in my pan car though before that, maybe they were cracked from being in that car.
