I'm trying to figure out exactly what you mean about the lipo config..

I take it you want 2 batts in for balance, but run them one at a time? One for power, one for ballast, then switch when one pack is out? Deosn't make a whole lot of sence to me. Might as well run both in parallel if you all ready have one 4s 6000 mah batt. Its not like you lose eff by putting then in par., if anything you would make it easier on the batts as they could supply high currents easier. Put all that weight to use

Optimally you would have 2x 2S batts (one per side) and run them in series as a 4S pack.

The lehners are really good. From everything I've ever heard, a 1940 or 1950 would work. I may buy a 1940/9t or so for my Revo one day, so so far the 8xl is running well for me, but i don't race either (yet.)


Ditch the 1st gear and run a single speed w/ steel idlers. Easier, cleaner setup. 1st is usless pretty much w/ BL.
